Financial Transformation Lead

Overview

A rapidly expanding fintech company based in Limassol, currently growing its global presence is looking for an exceptional accountant with specialized experience in project management, reporting and/or reconciliation processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial operations and either extensive hands-on experience with core banking / ERP systems or a proven track record of successfully implementing and rolling out such systems. Responsibilities

Process Improvement and Automation:

  • Identify inefficiencies in current financial processes and propose solutions using system automation capabilities.
  • Streamline financial workflows, including procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and record-to-report processes.
  • Implement best practices for system usage and financial data management.
  • Introduce workflow automation for routine approvals and document routing.
  • Eliminate redundant manual data entry through system integration.
  • Automate bank reconciliation and cash application processes.
  • Deploy real-time exception reporting to highlight processing errors or delays.
  • Implement centralized dashboards for financial KPIs and variance tracking.
  • Automate generation and distribution of recurring financial reports.

Financial Management and Reporting:

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow reports.
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently.

Collaboration and Compliance:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Operations, and HR, to align financial processes with company goals.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, accounting standards, and local tax regulations.
  • Support audits by preparing accurate documentation and reports.

Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, reporting or reconciliation.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to train others on NetSuite functionalities.
