BI developer

Overview

Our associate is looking for a hands-on and technically strong BI Developer to drive the development of the business intelligence stack. The role will take full ownership of the end-to-end BI development lifecycle — from ingesting data from multiple sources, transforming and modeling it in the data warehouse, to delivering insightful dashboards using Tableau.

This is a high-impact role where your work will directly influence decision-making across finance, operations, compliance, product, and senior leadership. You will be part of a modern data stack based on PostgreSQL (AWS RDS) and Tableau. The role reports to the Head of BI.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines to extract data from various systems (internal services, 3rd party APIs, SaaS tools) using custom connectors.
  • Build and maintain models to transform raw ingested data into clean, reliable, and business-ready datasets.
  • Continuously enhance the data warehouse schema to support new business requirements and ensure high performance.
  • Collaborate closely with business teams to gather requirements and translate them into Tableau dashboards and ad-hoc reports.
  • Deliver on-demand visualizations and business reports, ensuring clarity, performance, and accuracy.
  • Support the monitoring, testing, and documentation of data pipelines to ensure reliability and data quality.
  • Optimize existing pipelines and queries for scalability and maintainability.
  • Serve as the go-to person for BI development, helping stakeholders navigate and understand the data model and available metrics.

Required Skills

Must-Have:

  • 3+ years of experience as a BI Developer or in a similar data engineering/analytics role.
  • Expertise in SQL and working with analytical databases (preferably PostgreSQL).
  • Hands-on experience with one of ETL/ELT tools or tool chains and Tableau for dashboards.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling (dimensional modeling, normalization, etc.).
  • Experience building end-to-end pipelines from raw source data to business-facing dashboards.
  • Familiarity with Kestra or any orchestration/workflow engine.
  • Solid understanding of data quality, validation, and documentation best practices.

Nice to Have:

  • Exposure to payment systems, financial data, or transaction-based business logic.
  • Experience with Python for scripting and data manipulation.
  • Familiarity with Airbyte for ELT, dbt for transformations.
  • Familiarity with AWS services like RDS, S3, or Lambda.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
  • Proactive ownership mindset – ability to work independently and deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for clean, well-structured data and clear visual storytelling.

Benefits
  • A central role in shaping the BI landscape of a fast-growing fintech platform.
  • Modern data stack and the freedom to build efficient, scalable BI solutions.
  • Collaboration with high-performing, cross-functional teams
  • An opportunity to own the data flow from source to insights in a mission-critical environment
  • Attractive Compensation: Competitive salary package aiming to retain top talent.
  • Vibrant Team Culture: Work with a dynamic, international team that values diversity and collaboration.
  • Comprehensive Health Benefits: Enjoy the peace of mind with a private health insurance.
  • Professional Development: Commitment to continuous career development and growth opportunities to help you achieve your professional goals.
